Node29 will be taken out of service
Apr 19th, 2016 at 12:49pm

The last AMD cpu based file server node acquired in 2008, node29, reached its end-of-service-life status after finding leaked capacitors on the motherboard.  It will be taken out of service this week.  The duty will be shifted to master2.  The two RAID volumes /data/home3 and /data/home7 will be consolidated afterwards.
The entire process will not affect user operation and data integrity, given that the data access may be a little slower due to massive data migration.
Afterward, node27,28,29 will be removed from SGE list.
